IF you CLICK the RED CIRCLE that says: SAFETY INFO,
THIS DOODLE BUG falls under Dirt Bikes and Motor Bikes
(and has the following listed online:)

"Baja Motorsports is concerned about Safety. These vehicles are not designed or manufactured for use on rental tracks, public streets, roads, highways or right-of-ways. Always wear proper Safety Gear such as; a DOT approved helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Always secure loose clothing and long hair. Please read and understand your owner’s manual for more information on rider training and safety equipment."

*THE CASE THAT I AM CURRENTLY INVOLVED WITH deals with 2 different sets of parents contesting that they DID NOT KNOW that this bike was NOT street legal...... (IF ONLY they were responsible for their $240 some purchase that THEY THEMSELVES have MADE for their children. Ah, yes... accountability and responsibility for their children.... I may be asking TOO much... (right...))

**A 12 year old in MY CASE has been issued a CARELESS DRIVING ticket of $141 for hitting my car HEAD ON while he was going about 10/12 mph on his friend's doodlebug -- no brakes, and could have killed himself had I NOT BEEN STOPPED, and had I owned a larger vehicle. He would have kept sliding UNDER my car. HOWEVER, I have a low clearance front-end compact car, and he did NOT slide under the bumper/car.

APPARENTLY, there is a subpoena out now, and THEY are trying to CONTEST this ticket in court on Feb 10th, 2 pm -- which I will have to attend. As well as the officer who issued the ticket, and the ONE witness who has agreed to come forward -- who happens to be a firefighter. Good times! I CANNOT believe that they think they can get out of this ticket...

***As well as.. looks like I may be needing to take THEM TO COURT to retrieve the $607.51 of DAMAGES that was done unto my car, WHICH I HAVE ALREADY paid for out of pocket myself. (I have a $1000 deductible.)

The defendant was WAVING to his sister who was BEHIND HIM, while they were racing counter-clockwise around the block. He was NOT paying attention, was distracted, and was NOT on his OWN vehicle -- his 16 YR OLD SISTER was on the one that THEY specifically own.
AND, the ONLY BRAKE ON THE DOODLE BUG, is on the LEFT-HAND HANDLEBAR -- conveniently, the hand that was WAVING behind him. WAY TO HAVE CONTROL OF A VEHICLE!!!

***NO Parental Supervision. The manual on this vehicle states that you should be 16 to operate -- this child was 12 years OLD!!! No protective gear/helmet was worn.. but more importantly... THIS MINI BIKE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ON THE ROAD FROM THE GET GO!!!!!!! It's ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
